ENP participated in the “investment preparation study on energy efficient district hospitals in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico” that was executed between September 2006 and February 2008.

The project resulted in a number of equipment proposals for various hospitals, in the proposal of a very promising innovative energy efficient hospital, in preliminary research on the energy use of medical equipment and that of certain building materials. The correct combination of an adequate design, the use of apt building materials and techniques, the application of some electric and mechanical innovations and the correct management and use of such a hospital can lead to an important decrease in the use of energy and water.
