In 2008 EN-Projects, acquired a subsidy from the Dutch government to establish a medical rehabilitation centre for a minority group in Sichuan China where more then 2 million people suffers from an endemic disease called Kashin Beck Disease.
The project aimed to train 65 physical therapist and establish a specialized rehabilitation Clinic in MaoXian.
4 parties worked closely together:
- Peking University (PKU) 3rd hospital
- Hogeschool of Amsterdam
- EN-Projects
- HEP Beijing
The project was co-funded by the Dutch government under the Asia Facility Program AF08/CH02 PKU 3rd hospital and Hogeschool of Amsterdam jointly published a study in the International Orthopaedics (SICOT)
